Sunday Spotlight: Finance/Human Resources

This year, our Finance Department experienced exciting changes during the off-season. Lakeside Chautauqua hired a new Chief Financial Officer, Dan Dudley, who joined the team in late May and promoted long-time Lakeside employee, Sylvia Chappell, to Vice President of Accounting.

We also hired a new employee under Human Resources. John Mann joined Lakeside in April as the new Human Resources Administrator.

How do you live the mission of Lakeside every day?

Well, the Finance Department supports the mission of Lakeside by making sure we spend our money properly, supporting the Lakeside programs and activities. Personally, I believe that life is too short to be negative, so I try to be positive about everything I do.  Just like Lakeside and its programs and activities are a very positive influence on the people who live and vacation here.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

It may sound impossible, but I am a fan of both The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan.
