FullSizeRenderLakeside Chautauqua was referenced in the July/August 2014 issue of Home & Away magazine by Susan Hake, a 32-year Membership Operations Director with AAA Ohio Auto Club.

Hake shares in the magazine, “This is such a beautiful, gated community of century old Lake Erie cottages. It is overflowing with family fun. An extended stay enables us to visit the Marblehead Lighthouse, Cedar Point, Kelleys Island and Put-in-Bay.”

She recommends Lakeside Chautauqua to Home & Away readers because of the whole area; the Lake Erie shore is a top travel destination.

AAA members are looking for information they can trust and rely on. Members heavily depend on the diamond rating system AAA has to research and book trips.

Hake’s advice for first-time guests to Lakeside is simple, “Guests should go to unwind and enjoy themselves.”

She continued to say, “If you want to do things, Lakeside is a great home base.”

After conferring with a colleague, Hake shared that AAA members are looking for quality and value.

She said, “Lakeside is worth every penny.”

Hake and her colleague also discussed the travel trends among young families and noted that many are traveling with multiple generations and renting a house or space large enough for the whole family.

This is another great fit with what Lakeside Chautauqua has to offer.

There are also wonderful programs for kids and adults.

“People don’t get it [Lakeside] until they visit themselves,” explained Hake.
