Attend our Monthly Community Potluck Luncheons
From January-May, Lakeside hosts Monthly Community Potluck Luncheons. Mark your calendars for the third Thursday of every month, and join fellow Lakesiders in Wesley Lodge for a lunch event filled with good food and fellowship. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please note that the March Community Potluck Luncheon has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 26.

Volunteer at Spring Cleanup Day or Year-Round at Lakeside
Do you like to volunteer? Lakeside offers several volunteer opportunities throughout the calendar year. Volunteers are needed at special events during the off-season, including Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 25. Or, if you like to write, consider volunteering as a guest blogger.
Celebrate Mom at our Mother’s Day Brunch
Lakeside will host a Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 10 in the Hotel Lakeside Dining Room & Café. A special menu will be prepared to celebrate the special occasion. This year, the brunch will be catered by Avery’s Café & Catering. Read about our new partnership with Avery’s Café & Catering.
Plan to Visit Over Memorial Day Weekend
As part of Lakeside Chautauqua’s Memorial Day weekend entertainment, “Let’s Hang On!” Frankie Valli Tribute Show will perform on Saturday, May 23 in Hoover. In addition, Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, will travel to Lakeside with his favorite zoo animals for a special event on Sunday, May 24. Join us for Additional Programming during the New 2015 Bonus Weekend
For this year, Lakeside has added another weekend of Chautauqua programming from May 29-31 for a reduced rate. On Friday, May 29, Michael Shirtz will return to Hoover Auditorium to present “The American Songbook Story” with the band Trio Not. The following day, Lakesiders are invited to participate in the first Kaleidoscope of Color Run/Walk with family and friends. This event replaces the Lakeside Fund Run/Walk. Activities are also scheduled at the Rhein Center throughout Saturday afternoon. In the evening, Ambrosia, a 1970s blues and R&B group, will perform in Hoover. Apply for a Summer Job or Internship
Still looking for a summer job? Seasonal employment opportunities are available in Event Planning, Hospitality, Maintenance/Service, Programming and Recreation. Check Out Renovations to the Miniature Golf Course
Despite the cold weather, renovations to the miniature golf course are underway. The crew is scrapping and removing the green carpet material from the course. They have also removed all of the wooden bumpers at each hole. Visit Lakeside to see the progress, or view pictures on our Facebook page.

Do I Need to Purchase a Chautauqua Pass during the Off-Season?
During the off-season, a Chautauqua Pass is not required to enter the grounds of Lakeside. The Lakeside gates will be in operation over Memorial Day weekend (May 22-25, 2015), the 2015 Bonus Weekend (May 29-31, 2015) and during the Chautauqua programming season (June 21-Sept. 7, 2015). You are welcome to explore Lakeside at your leisure during the winter and spring months. Please note that most of the gates close at approximately 8 p.m. and open at approximately 6 a.m. during the off-season, however the Fifth Street Gate is accessible 24 hours per day. Where can I Park in the Winter and Spring?
Lakeside offers limited parking to its guests and residents year-round. During the off-season, guests are invited to park at one of Lakeside’s various parking lots, including the South Gate Parking Lot, near the Lakeside Schoolhouse, near Bradley Temple, the Fountain Inn and Hotel Lakeside, as well as along each street that does not have designated parking. During the off-season, an Auto Pass is not required to enter the grounds of Lakeside. For information about parking during the summer season, visit the 2015 Admission & Chautauqua Pass Schedule page.
What Businesses are Open during the Off-Season?
Year-round businesses in Lakeside (with limited hours) include Marilyn’s, Marilyn’s Two, Sloopy’s Sports Café and the Lakeside Laundromat. All Lakeside businesses will be open for Memorial Day weekend (May 22-25, 2015) and throughout the Chautauqua programming season (June 21-Sept. 7, 2015).
