Lakeside Chautauqua has so many exciting new changes happening around the grounds this summer, including tiered parking, an information center, upgraded mini golf course and more.
Check out all the upgrades happening and tell us what you are most excited about in the comments below.
Lakeside Information Center to Open at the Pavilion
This summer, a Lakeside Information Center will open at the Pavilion for guests. It will be located across from the North Coast Kite Co., in the space formerly occupied by Lakeside Landing.
To provide support to the congestion at the Lakeside Chautauqua Administration Office, the information center’s location will be easily accessible for guests to ask questions about the Chautauqua program, complete reservations for waterfront activities and finalize payment for boat rentals, including standup paddleboards, kayaks and Sunfish sailboats.
It will also serve to help guests register for wooden boat rides, obtain a fishing license and regulations, and sign up for sailing lessons.
In addition, guests will be able to register and make payments for various recreational events, including the Kelleys Island Swim, 5k Raccoon Run, Triathlons and sailing races. Payment and registration will still be available at the Lakeside Chautauqua Administration Office.
Lakeside Chautauqua Introduces New Tiered Parking Fee Structure for 2015
To help with congested parking and continue our high safety standards on the grounds, Lakeside Chautauqua will introduce a tiered parking fee structure this summer.
The main objective behind the tiered parking fee structure is to encourage guests to park in the South Gate Parking Lot and the Danbury School Parking Lot at discounted rates, taking advantage of the complimentary golf cart shuttle service offered once inside the Lakeside gates.
Even with the new tiered parking fees, guests can expect the purchasing process for Auto Passes to be nearly the same. Auto Passes can be purchased at the Welcome Center, Fifth Street Gate and South Gate entrances.
The closest complimentary shuttle stop near the South Gate Parking Lot and Danbury School Parking Lot is located at the Welcome Center.
Guests are encouraged to review the new tiered parking fee structure and shuttle service information on the Lakeside Chautauqua website before their visit at www.lakesideohio.com/visit.

Join the ‘Can’t Wait for Lakeside to Open the Summer Season’ Poster Contest
Lakeside is challenging families to enter a poster in a new competition titled, ‘Can’t Wait for Lakeside to Open the Summer Season’ Poster Contest.’
Families are encouraged to work together to create a foam board poster displaying what they are looking forward to this summer at Lakeside. The artwork can be a drawing, painting, collage, mural or story about what your family loves about Lakeside. Entries must be created or mounted to a 20″ x 30″ foam board poster, which can be found at office supply stores or major retailers.

“State of Lakeside” Gatherings Planned around Ohio in May
Lakeside is planning a series of “State of Lakeside” Address gatherings around Ohio during the month of May.
At each gathering, Lakeside Chautauqua President/CEO Kevin Sibbring will meet with Lakesiders, give an overview of the past year, provide an update on the Hotel Lakeside Project and Endowment for Life Initiative, discuss capital projects scheduled to be completed, and highlight the 2015 Chautauqua summer programs.
Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss Lakeside’s future and the current strategic plan.
Lakeside Adds 2015 Bonus Weekend to Programming Schedule
To provide additional opportunities for enrichment, Lakeside has added another weekend of Chautauqua programming from May 29-31 for a reduced rate, known as the 2015 Bonus Weekend.

Due to the support of countless Lakesiders, preparations to enhance the miniature golf course have begun. New putting green will be placed, along with new hole features and upgrades to the landscaping throughout the course.
