Lakeside Chautauqua announces two special movie screenings on May 15 and May 16

Into-the-Woods Lakeside Chautauqua will offer two special preview movie screenings of “Into the Woods,” starring Academy Award-winner Meryl Streep, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15 and “The Imitation Game,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.

There is no Chautauqua Pass admissions fee to enter Lakeside for the two movie screenings on May 15 and May 16. Guests are invited to give a $5 donation per person for adults and youth.  

After both screenings, The Rev. Bruce Batchelor-Glador will lead a post-show discussion on May 15 and May 16. The Rev. Batchelor-Glador is a life-long movie fan and has done reviews for the East Ohio Conference in print and social media for more than 21 years.

Today, the movie theater has a digital projector and Dolby Stereo Sound. Orchestra Hall will officially open for the summer season Memorial Day weekend. Movie tickets are $7/adult and $3/youth (under 12).
