Bi-weekly Farmers’ Market Begins

In a continued effort to promote health and wellness, Lakeside will host a bi-weekly Farmers’ Market from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday, beginning June 23.

Farmers’ Market vendors will sell fresh produce, honey, herbs and homemade baked goods at Walnut Avenue on the pedestrian walkway between Second and Third Streets.

Vendors that will sell goods at the Farmers’ Market this year include:

Al’s Vegetables LLC, Bellevue, OH – organic produce, arugula, lettuce, turnips, radishes, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, popcorn, eggplant, kale, kohlrabi, beets, carrots, peas, green beans, strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries, potatoes melons, okra, grapes, squashes.

DeChant Farms, Huron, OH – (TUESDAYS ONLY) large variety homegrown fruits and vegetables, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, rhubarb, lettuce, beans, tomatoes, cantelopem corn watermelon, squash, potatoes, peas, onions and more.

DTF Enterprises, Clyde, OH – Blended loose leaf tea, maple syrup, honey and season fruit

Easy As Pie, Huron, OH – 11 different kinds of homemade pies, small and large.

Farmers Wife Breads, Marblehead, OH – homemade breads, cookies, tarts, jams & jelly and dog cookies.

Healthy Bakes by Catherine/Blue Pebble Farm, Fremont, OH – uncertified organic produce, fresh cut flower bouquets, herbs, loose teas, baked breads, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cupcakes, granola, cookies, snacks, scones, herbal salves & home cleaners, garden art, local maple syrup, raw honey, dog treats, soaps, lavender.

My Mother’s Market, Sandusky, OH –  fresh grown vegetables and fruits, herbs, flowers

Quinstock Farms, Catawba, OH –  apricots, assorted vegetables, apricot jam, local honey, flowers and farm fresh free range eggs.

Racheal’s Veggies, Willard, OH – (FRIDAYS ONLY)  fresh produce organically raised, flowers, herbs all grown on our farm and homemade cookies & baked goods.

TNT Farms, Bellevue, OH – tomatoes, melons, sweet corn, berried, peaches, onions, peppers, cucumbers & zucchini.

Tyler’s Farm, LLC, Oberlin, OH – hydroponic environment, red & green leaf lettuce, green bibb, red bibb, green oak leaf, red oak leaf, romaine, lettuce/specialty mixes, kale, pac choi, arugula, spinach, collard greens, basil and parsley.

Items sold are grown within a 50-mile radius; this provides the opportunity to purchase regionally-produced goods and contribute to the growth of the local economy.
