Your Generosity Enhances the Lakeside Chautauqua Experience

As we embark on another holiday season, we’re reminded of how blessed we truly are – we’re participating in family get-togethers, bonding over hot chocolate as fingers and toes warm from the snow, accepting friendly neighbor dinner invitations, bowing heads around the dining room table, preparing for a holiday feast and watching loved ones grow.

At Lakeside, we’re also taking time to recognize how blessed we are. In our community, we have Lakesiders who give gifts of time by volunteering in Board of Directors roles, at special events and around the beautiful grounds.

We also have Lakesiders who give financial gifts to support the Chautauqua experience so that many families and individuals can nurture their minds, bodies and spirits every year.

Your support has made monumental enhancements at Lakeside. Just this year, we were able to restore the miniature golf course solely due to the generosity of Lakesiders.

An impressed Lakesider shared, “Nicest improvement to miniature golf in the 45 years I’ve been playing here. My six-year-old grandson even commented on the updates.

Additionally, we were able to enhance the Chautauqua experience from gifts in support of the Endowment for Life Initiative, storm repairs, Lakeside Symphony Orchestra, recreational programming and facilities, religious life programming, the C. Kirk Rhein, Jr., Center for the Living Arts, Hotel Lakeside, youth group housing and Ohio’s Most Beautiful Mile gardens.

Community support was remarkable for Lakeside’s third annual #GivingTuesday initiative on December 1, raising more than $132,000 for the Lakeside Fund. Globally, more than $116 million was given as we celebrated this day of giving back.

Lakeside Chautauqua would not be the cherished place it is today without caring community members like you. We’re truly thankful for your support.

Please contact the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation today for more information about supporting Lakeside with a financial gift or volunteering at or (419) 798-5396.

We also invite you to make an online donation before 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31. If giving a gift after 4 p.m., please call (419) 798-5396 to give your gift over the phone. Checks may be mailed and made payable to the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, 236 Walnut Ave., Lakeside, Ohio 43440.

Year-end charitable contributions are still eligible to receive 2015 tax deductions if given by December 31.
