Lakeside Chautauqua is an ideal location to plan your next family reunion and can deliver a unique experience with a beautiful backdrop. Once you decide to host your summer reunion with us, I will work closely with you to make sure the setting fits your family’s needs.
Here are six things to keep in mind when planning your family reunion at Lakeside…
- Plan ahead
It’s important to start planning your family reunion early. This allows plenty of time to gather information, coordinate schedules and select dates that work for everyone.
- Don’t forget Chautauqua Pass fees
If you have family members visiting Lakeside for the first time, be sure to include information about our summer Chautauqua and Auto Passes so that they’re well informed and can include these costs into their budget. Visit www.lakesideohio.com/passes for rates.
- Highlight the summer Chautauqua program
Lakeside offers a variety of activities for all ages. Before your reunion, let family members know which entertainers, lecturers and events are scheduled during their visit. Also, invite them to check out www.lakesideohio.com to learn more about the community and the different activities available for children, teens and adults. When you arrive, be sure to grab the latest edition of the Lakesider newspaper so you don’t miss a thing!
- Reserve accommodations early
Lakeside offers several types of accommodations to fit your different needs and budget. Reserve waterfront rooms in historic Hotel Lakeside, rent a cozy cottage on a quiet street or book one of our group housing facilities to accommodate the entire family. Since our accommodations book quickly, it’s important to reserve as early as possible. Fountain Inn and Hotel Lakeside rooms can be reserved beginning in January, cottage rentals are available to rent beginning in February and group housing requests can be received as early as October for the following year.
- Create lasting memories
Make the most of your Lakeside vacation and schedule activities for the entire family – coordinate a shuffleboard or miniature golf tournament, pack a picnic for Perry Park, take a Rhein Center class, watch a movie in Orchestra Hall or eat some ice cream while watching the sunset from the dock. However you like to spend your time, you’ll be able to make the most of it at Lakeside.
