How did you hear about Lakeside, or what is your Lakeside story?

This is actually my first summer at Lakeside and with my experience these last few weeks I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I found Lakeside on our career portal at OSU and was looking for a shorter term internship with a non-profit outside of sports, so this was perfect!

What are you most looking forward to this summer at Lakeside?

Spending time with and meeting Lakesiders. The people here are so welcoming and kindhearted. I love hearing each Lakeside story and pairing people with the cottages and community passions. I’m really looking forward to running along the lake and learning how to play shuffleboard!

What do you hope to gain from this experience?

I hope to gain professional and personal growth. I definitely came here to learn from the foundation and grow as a communications professional first and foremost. However, Lakeside is so much more than that. The community really provides an opportunity for me to learn about myself and grow into a more wholesome individual. We also have an awesome group of interns that creates a great environment to foster that personal growth.

Name one goal you hope to achieve this summer.

Professionally, I really want to improve my photo and design skills. I’ve never really fine-tuned them. so I’m excited to be in a department with visual design and photography interns. Learning from one another this summer should be really cool!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I’m very active. Sports are a huge passion of mine, so if I’m not watching my favorite teams (Cleveland pro sports, UNC men’s basketball, and my BUCKS), you’ll catch me running or playing something outside! I also love to read and am a Netflix watcher for more relaxed activities…cooking/baking is a blossoming passion as well.

What is one of your proudest moments or major accomplishments you have achieved thus far in life?

I set a goal my freshman year of college to intern with a different professional sports team each year, and one being an NFL organization. By junior year, I’ve interned with a Cleveland Indians Affiliate (The Mahoning Valley Scrappers), Columbus Crew SC, Ohio State Football, and to conclude this summer I will be with The Atlanta Falcons for their Training Camp. Finally, this upcoming school year I will also be working with Ohio State Athletic Communications.

What is your dream job?

To be the Vice President of Communications for an NFL organization. My three personal favorites as far as business practices go are the Steelers, the Packers and the Cowboys. As far as long-term living goes, I want to be somewhere south or west, so probably with the Dallas Cowboys. I would love to oversee all of their MR/PR practices.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I’m from a big Italian family that loves food, so this summer I gathered all of my nana’s recipes and typed them up into a cookbook, and my goal is to make each dish before the end of summer. I’d like to share the book with my family as a gift, probably around Christmas.
