How did you hear about Lakeside, or what is your Lakeside story?

I heard about internship opportunities at Lakeside through a professor who forwarded me the information. I had never heard of it until I secured a position and then multiple groups of family and friends messaged me and said they LOVE Lakeside.

What are you most looking forward to this summer at Lakeside?

I’m most looking forward to getting to know “Lakesiders” and their stories. I’m excited to explore this quaint community and take advantage of all it has to offer.

What do you hope to gain from this experience?

On the professional side of things, I would like to learn more details and helpful hints about successfully executing an event. I would also like to gain insight into making a customer’s experience better. On the social side, I would like to expand my network and learn through the diversity of other interns as well as guests.

Name one goal you hope to achieve this summer.

It’s not necessarily a quantifiable goal, but I want to capitalize on the unique aspects of Lakeside. I want to learn to sail and paddle board and I would like to see inside some cottages because they are all so cute and quaint.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love photography and I like creating books on Shutterfly. Hammocking is my favorite pastime. I LOVE flowers and learning about them. I also love traveling, shopping and riding bikes. Anything outdoors is pretty much a hobby of mine. I also love attending local events such as festivals and concerts.

What is one of your proudest moments or major accomplishments you have achieved thus far in life?

Executing a women’s brunch on my university’s campus as the Vice President of the club, putting it on was both a proud moment and large accomplishment. I was able to raise over $800 in donations for the silent auction that was at the brunch, as well as organizing some logistics to see it through. It was neat to see the women enjoy the event.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to work at an event planning company where I would have a hand in the creative layout and design to the logistics of setup, tear down, and volunteers as well as venue selection. A company where I can have a hand in planning, execution and follow up of events.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I have flown a small airplane. My uncle has his license and we go flying together so I have directed us in the air and have flown the approach (flying into the runway).
