It’s the Great Pumpkin-Decorating Contest, Lakesiders!

Welcoming the return of fall weather to our Lake Erie shore, October brings a beautiful, multi-hued landscape of autumn leaves, cool breezes off the water… and the excitement of the Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival with its annual Pumpkin-Decorating Contest!

When: Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018
            Pumpkin Drop-Off – 9:30-11 a.m.
            Awards Presentation – 1-1:30 p.m.
Where: Hoover Auditorium Porch

Encourage your friends and family to get creative and bring their best-decorated pumpkins for a little friendly competition next Saturday.

Techniques from carving, to painting, to assembling are all allowed. Featuring a variety of award categories spanning all ages, the possibilities are endless.

This year’s categories will include: Best Child Design (ages 8 & under), Best Youth Design (ages 9-12), Best Teen Design (ages 13-17), Best Painted, Best Lakeside-Inspired Design, Best Design Using Pumpkin & Natural Material, and Best Use of Props.
