Lakeside Chautauqua is pleased to announce Roger Ingles as the new Vice President of Development.
Ingles brings 30 years of experience in fundraising to Lakeside and was key in building meaningful relationships at Ohio Wesleyan University and Capital University throughout his professional career.
“We’re excited to welcome Roger to the staff to lead the Development Department and fundraising effort at Lakeside Chautauqua,” shares Kip Greenhill, Lakeside Chautauqua President & CEO. “Roger brings a depth of fundraising experience to our strong team.”
As the Director of Athletics & Recreation at Ohio Wesleyan, he was responsible for supervising 45 full-time and 17 part-time employees while also managing a $3.6 million budget with a responsibility to raise 60% of that budget. In addition, he helped raise capital funding for the university’s facilities.
At Capital University, Ingles supervised 20 full-time and 25 part-time employees as the Director of Athletics & Recreation and raised more than $1.5 million for a new baseball/softball complex.
Most recently, he founded an athletic and small business consulting company, Executive Management Partners, specializing in team effectiveness, culture development, strategic planning, revenue generation, and talent acquisition.
Ingles has a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and master’s degree in athletic administration from The Ohio State University.
His wife Jo is an award-winning reporter for Ohio Public Radio and Television and has written for Columbus Monthlymagazine and Reuters. She teaches part-time at Ohio Wesleyan University in the Communications Department.
The couple has two children, Sarah and Brad, who both graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. Sarah and her husband Chris are attorneys in Columbus, Ohio and Brad is a Marketing & Sponsorship Director in Denver, Colo. Ingles and his wife also have two Yorkies, Elvis Pawsley and Sir Paw McCartney, who rule their home.
Ingles serves as strategic partner with ArenaNIL, offering Name Image and Likeness advice in his free time, and loves to read historical books, watch Netflix, and attend Broadway theatre shows with his family. He is an avid fisherman, and you might just see him on the dock this summer.
