The Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival, a cherished fall tradition, will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 in Lakeside Chautauqua and throughout the Marblehead Peninsula. This free, peninsula-wide event will include a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy. There will be tours of the Marblehead Lighthouse, live entertainment, children’s crafts, a pumpkin-decorating contest, plein air artists, arts & crafts vendors, a farmers’ market, hayrides, sailboat rides and much more. An Overnight in Charming Lakeside Chautauqua, OH Lakeside Chautauqua, Ohio is situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie. Lakeside’s popular Wednesday Night Family Picnics have returned. At 5:30 p.m. there will be music playing, the smell of hot dogs cooking, a huge line stretching to the tennis courts, children playing with bubbles and chalk, and chairs and blankets spread across the park. The Wednesday Night Family Picnics started in 1995, with a package of hot dogs, a bag of chips and a few families. It has grown to be one of Lakeside’s favorite summer traditions.
