We’re excited to welcome you back to Lakeside Chautauqua and the Lake Erie shore this summer. Whether you’re looking to book your first trip or you’ve already started the planning process, here are some tips to help you have a successful vacation experience.

Lakeside Chautauqua has launched a pilot program to offer professional development graduate credit based on participation in educational and cultural arts programs at Lakeside each week this summer. This opportunity is designed for educators needing to renew teaching licenses and/or gain professional development credit, which will be issued through Lake Erie College.

Recruitment for this popular internship opportunity began in the fall of 2013 when the LLA Planning Committee assessed last year’s program and reworked many positions to accommodate Lakeside’s growing needs.

The Lakeside Chautauqua Recreation Department has a full schedule of special events planned for the 2014 summer. Guests and residents are invited to participate in all events. From the Annual 5k Raccoon Run and the Sailing Regatta, to the Kelleys Island Swim and triathlons, Lakeside is working to provide athletes with a variety of recreational opportunities. YAC 2014 will meet at Lakeside Chautauqua from Friday, June 13-Sunday, June 15. This year’s theme is Navigate.
