Lakeside United Methodist Church (UMC) is offering Vacation Bible School (VBS) to children in the area (ages 5+), including those who are visiting for the week in Lakeside, those in the Island View/Marblehead Peninsula/Port Clinton areas, as well as members and friends of Lakeside UMC. Please join us Sunday, July 31-Thursday, Aug. 4, from 6-8 p.m.

The VBS theme is “Rocky Railway – Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through.” Registration forms are available at the church office, call 419-798-5119 or email vbs_info@lakesideohumc.com. Participation is limited, so please register early.

VBS activities will include “Sing and Play Express,” where kids become members of a crew and celebrate through song and worship the reality of God’s love. Each day, they will experience a one-of-a-kind story during “Bible Adventures.” At “Imagination Station,” they will participate in hands-on activities that reinforce the daily Bible Point. Kids will collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s Word. Everyone will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through God Sightings. In “KidVid Cinema,” they’ll meet real kids who have experienced the incredible goodness of God. Refreshments will be served each evening.

Complimentary Daily Chautauqua Passes for VBS will be available at the Fifth Street Gate, South Gate and East/West Second Street Gates. Passes do not include admission to Hoover Auditorium shows or to the Grindley Aquatic and Wellness Campus Pool. Gate attendants will assist with directions to the church and parking, as well as provide suggestions for Lakeside activities for adults who choose to stay on the Lakeside grounds while chil-dren participate in VBS.

To wrap up the week, family members and friends are invited to the church sanctuary Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for a “Celebration Finale.”
